This house on Blunn Creek is located in floodplain and erosion hazard zones. Additionally, local zoning and planning restrictions constrain the site. After a careful examination, it was determined that this would be an almost complete demolition. The new two-story house will be built well above the 25-year floodplain, with a private sanctuary integrating an existing pool into the backyard. By maximizing the buildable FAR with an L-shaped plan, we were able to create a private master suite wing and add additional bedrooms on the second floor.
