This house on Blunn Creek is located in a floodplain zone and an erosion hazard zone. Additionally, local zoning and planning restrictions constrained the site. After a careful examination of the site and pre-existing conditions it was determined that this would be an almost complete demolition. The new two story house will be built well above the 25-year floodplain and has a private sanctuary integrating an existing pool in the backyard. By maximizing the buildable FAR with an L-shaped plan we were able to create a private master suite wing, with additional bedrooms on the second floor.
