Located just south of the river, in perfect distance of Zilker Park, South Lamar and downtown Austin, the clients wanted to create an ADU that can function both as an income-producing tourist rental and a flex-space for personal use. Designed in conjunction with their main house remodel (Phase 2. Coming Soon!), they wished to maintain an outdoor area that their family can enjoy. As a result, we created a cantilevered apartment with a separate access from the ground floor studio. This allows guests/renters to come and go as they please while the homeowners maintain privacy and can enjoy their backyard undisturbed.
